Brendan is the Founder and CEO of BGS Consulting. He spent his first 8 years out of college in the audit practice of Arthur Andersen. His career shifted in 1999 to business development as he continued in that capacity at Deloitte, McGladrey and MorganFranklin Consulting prior to founding BGS Consulting.

In 2017, Brendan founded BGS Consulting which brings together a rich network of accounting and finance resources to help clients succeed. BGS was founded on the principles that clients’ needs vary case by case, and therefore, the right solutions to address those needs vary considerably and a one size fits all approach is often not the best approach. BGS Consulting provides the right balance between consulting/advisory and operational accounting know how to help design and execute solutions that fit the unique needs of our clients.

BGS Consulting provides a flexible and nimble approach to client service that allows us to effectively operate within the resource and budgetary constraints of our clients. In his free time, Brendan enjoys golfing and spending time with his family which often includes college visits to Virginia Tech.

Franzuha joined the BGS team as a Partner in January 2025. He will be building and leading the BGS Technology Advisory Practice.

Franzuha has over 25 years of experience as an accomplished IT executive. He specializes in leading mid to large-scale complex technology engagements and managing transaction-based M&A activities from due diligence through stand up, carve-outs and integrations. Franzuha has a deep background in enterprise information technology systems, IT Infrastructure, and IT Security and has a proven track record of growing and leading organizations through periods of significant change. He has successfully led full life cycle implementations of national and global enterprise technology systems and infrastructures in a wide variety of client environments across multiple industry segments. Franzuha currently holds both an MBA and M.S. in IT and maintains several industry certifications.

Franzuha spends his free time traveling, spending time with family and friends, exploring new cuisines, and golfing.

Michael Johnson leads BGS Consulting’s Data & AI Services within the CFO Advisory practice, helping finance organizations use data, analytics, automation, and AI to modernize operations, improve decision-making, and accelerate business performance.

A CPA licensed in New York, Virginia, and Maryland, Michael brings more than 25 years of experience advising CFOs, CAOs, Controllers, Audit Committees, Boards, CIOs, and executive leadership teams across finance transformation, FP&A, controllership, reporting, enterprise data strategy, accounting advisory, and operational modernization. He is a former Deloitte and PwC Equity Partner, Accenture Managing Director, and Oracle Strategic Accounts Leader.

Michael specializes in applying AI, advanced analytics, and automation to finance operations, helping organizations enhance forecasting, streamline reporting, strengthen controls, improve efficiency, and unlock greater value from enterprise data. His work bridges finance, technology, and business strategy, with a practical focus on turning complex data environments into actionable insights and measurable business outcomes.

 Mark Lindsey is a Partner at BGS Consulting leading our CFO Advisory Practice. Mark has more than 30 years of executive finance, accounting, and operational leadership experience across public companies, private equity-backed organizations, and high-growth businesses. He specializes in financial reporting, controllership, treasury, technical accounting, internal controls, corporate finance, M&A and business transformation.

Prior to BGS, Mark held executive leadership roles, including Chief Financial Officer and Chief Accounting Officer, at organizations such as Cineverse, Firefly Systems, Canapi Ventures, American Capital, and XM Satellite Radio. Earlier in his career, he held leadership positions with the PCAOB and PricewaterhouseCoopers, developing deep expertise in financial reporting, governance, audit, and accounting standards. At BGS, Mark will bring his depth and diversity of experiences to help our clients strengthen finance organizations, enhance reporting and controls, and drive sustainable growth. 

Andrew is a Consultant at BGS. After graduating from Hiram College in 2012, Andrew worked as a master electrician for multiple theaters. Andrew worked for five years in public accounting before coming to BGS.

As a Senior Consultant, Andrew supports BGS clients, providing audit services and operations management assistance. He focuses on construction and revenue recognition and SOX support.

In his free time, Andrew enjoys reading books and gardening.

Bain Storch is a Senior Consulting Manager at BGS. Upon completion of his Master of Accounting from UNC Chapel Hill in 2003, Bain began his career as an auditor for Ernst & Young before transitioning to a Fortune 500 consumer-packaged goods corporation. He developed his trademark flexibility while moving between roles in Sales Finance, Excise Tax Accounting, Product Costing, Demand and Marketing Planning, and Discounting Operations. During this time, he also earned an MBA from Wake Forrest University. Bain began his consulting career in 2020 and joined the BGS team in February of 2022.

Bain has a passion for helping clients solve functional issues in their finance and accounting operations. He utilizes his diverse business background to help clients meet their organizational goals.

In his free time, Bain enjoys spending time with his family and pursuing his hobbies of golfing, tennis, woodworking, landscape design, and forest management.

Nicko is a Recruiting Manager at BGS Consulting. He is an experienced recruiter, with close to 5 years of permanent placement recruiting which has focused on the accounting and finance industry. He has worked with numerous Fortune 500, start-up and mid-market companies on placing people at the entry level to CFO seats. He also has experience with General Counsel searches for energy and media companies in the DC and NYC areas.

Nicko coaches travel basketball teams in his free time as well as enjoying golf and basketball.

Cassidy joined BGS as a Manager and brings a strong background in assurance and technology, with experience leading AI and process automation initiatives that improve efficiency and support audit quality.

She earned her Master of Accountancy from Samford University in 2018 and began her career at PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) in Washington, DC. During her time at PwC, she spent five years as an Associate and Senior Associate before transitioning into a manager role within the Assurance Innovation and Technology team in 2023.

Cassidy is known for translating complex ideas into practical, technology-enabled solutions, with hands-on experience in tools such as Alteryx and UiPath.

Outside of work, she stays active at MADabolic, enjoys experimenting with new recipes in the kitchen and exploring the city, and loves spending time with her family.

Zack Tasker joined BGS Consulting in 2026 as a Help Desk Technician, bringing experience in diagnosing and resolving a variety of complex IT problems.

At his previous role, Zack spent seven years as the primary Salesforce Administrator for a government contractor. Before that, he co-founded a successful Ed-Tech company. Both of these roles allowed Zack to develop a strong technical knowledge base and problem solving skills.

Outside of his professional role, he enjoys playing chess and golf, adventuring outdoors, and spending quality time with friends and family.

Julia is the Director of Recruiting at BGS. She has 26 years of agency recruiting experience in the Accounting & Finance areas at search firms in Philadelphia, Baltimore and the DC Metro area. Julia started in agency recruiting right out of college and is really grateful that she found her niche so early in life!

Julia specializes in providing candidates and bringing in new searches to the BGS team. She enjoys helping her candidates find that great next step and enjoys helping her clients find a great fit for their teams.

In her free time, Julia volunteers at her church by teaching 2nd grade religious education and she also enjoys spending time with her husband and their dachshund puppy, Otto.

Stacey is a Manager at BGS. She has 18 years of experience in financial reporting, budgeting and skilled in GAAP/DCAA compliance. Before joining BGS, she worked with several start-ups and help them streamline the accounting process and optimize financial performances. She also successfully managed numerous financial system implementations and ERP integrations. With a strong commitment to integrity and accuracy, she brings the analytical expertise and strategic insight to every financial challenge and needs.

In her free time, she enjoys reading, running and spending time with her family.

Claire graduated from Bucknell University with a bachelor's degree in International Relations, where she was actively involved in leadership, mentorship, and community engagement initiatives. Having lived in Hong Kong, Taiwan, and New York, she brings a global perspective and strong cross-cultural communication skills to her work.

Before joining BGS, Claire gained experience through several internships, including Under Armour's Summer 2023 internship program as a Supply Chain Management Intern, where she developed a strong foundation in operations, process optimization, and corporate strategy.

Claire joined BGS in June 2024 as a Marketing Associate and plays a key role in driving the firm's marketing and operations initiatives. She leads targeted marketing campaigns, manages strategic outreach efforts, supports website development and optimization, and oversees HubSpot integration to strengthen client engagement and enhance marketing performance. In addition, she supports recruiting, contract coordination, and a variety of operational initiatives that contribute to the firm's continued growth and success.

Outside of the office, Claire enjoys discovering new restaurants and cafés, traveling, photography, cooking, and horseback riding.

William Craig joins BGS as a director and will oversee the firm’s managed IT services and technology advisory offerings—driving modernization, cloud optimization, security maturity, and post-acquisition integration.

William has more than 20 years of experience leading technology transformation for private equity portfolio companies and growth-focused organizations, specializing in aligning IT strategy with business goals, strengthening cybersecurity posture, and scaling infrastructure for operational efficiency and value creation. He has directed M&A carve-outs, IT due diligence, and compliance programs (including NIST 800-171 and HIPAA) across healthcare, manufacturing, and transportation, managing IT budgets exceeding $8M and supporting environments with 5,000+ distributed users. A U.S. Navy veteran, he holds CISSP, CISM, and ITIL Foundations certifications and is recognized for translating complex technology decisions into clear business outcomes.

In William's free time, he enjoys spending time with his family, going to amusement parks, and learning new things.

Jodi Folta is a seasoned finance leader providing advisory and financial accounting services to clients across industries. She draws on extensive experience from Fortune 500 companies and her tenure at Arthur Andersen, where she earned her CPA. Jodi has actively managed every facet of accounting operations including monthly close and consolidations and her expertise includes technical accounting, internal controls (SOX), global operations and financial reporting. She has successfully led complex projects including acquisition integrations, system implementations and process improvements.

Jodi joined BGS to apply her broad knowledge in an advisory capacity, working alongside clients as a trusted partner to navigate complex challenges, strengthen operations, and drive results.

In her personal time, she loves time spent with family and friends and enjoys cooking, traveling, and serving as a handler for her church’s comfort dog ministry.

Riley is a Consultant at BGS. Prior to joining the firm in June 2023, he worked in the Human Capital Management industry, where he developed experience in sales and client relationship management. Riley earned a degree in Marketing from James Madison University.

Since joining BGS, Riley has supported a variety of back-office initiatives, including business development, client relationship management, and recruiting. He has also worked on multiple client engagements, assisting organizations with business process optimization, financial planning and analysis, revenue cycle management, and vendor relationship management. Riley brings an enthusiastic and solutions-oriented approach to his work and is focused on building and strengthening long-term relationships with BGS clients.

Outside of work, Riley enjoys spending time with friends and family, playing golf, and traveling.

Cameron is a Business Development Associate at BGS. Before joining the team full-time, Cameron interned with BGS for two summers, gaining experience in client outreach, market research, and business development initiatives. He graduated from Virginia Tech in 2025 with a degree in Business Management.

As part of the Business Development team, Cameron supports the firm’s growth efforts by helping identify and pursue new client opportunities.

Outside of work, Cameron enjoys golf, spending time outdoors, and watching sports with friends.

Katelyn recently graduated from the University of South Carolina in May of 2023. In college, Katelyn played club volleyball and was involved in Panhellenic leadership roles in which she grew her communication and recruiting skills.

As a Recruiting Associate, Katelyn collaborates with the recruiting team to find, prep, and develop relationships with candidates. She works hard alongside the team to cater to the needs of our clients.

In her free time, Katelyn enjoys cooking, hiking, traveling, and spending time with friends.

Rex is the Controller at BGS Consulting. After graduating from the University of Virginia with honors, he joined KPMG as an auditor for over 4 years. In addition, he earned an MBA with honors from Darden (UVA). He is a CPA and has over 30 years of accounting and finance experience.

Rex joined BGS in March of 2023 where he served many of BGS' dynamic clients using his deep knowledge & experience in accounting and finance. Effective January 1st 2026 he became the Controller.

In his free time, Rex enjoys exercising and spending time with his family.

Kristie is a Senior Manager with BGS specializing in accounting policy and U.S. GAAP application. She has spent the last twelve years of her career working for Fortune 500 Companies in an accounting policy role. In this role she has assisted the accounting staff understand the appropriate accounting treatment for complex transactions especially in the real estate and investment banking industries.

She joined BGS in 2021 and has been assisting clients implement ASC 606. Additionally, she has been a part of project teams that work with clients to bring their financial statements into compliance with U.S. GAAP and SEC reporting.

In her free time, Kristie enjoys sailing and playing tennis.

Megan joined BGS Consulting in 2025 as a Manager. She began her career in KPMG’s Financial Services Advisory practice, where she spent five years supporting large global banks such as Bank of America, as well as leading-edge fintech companies.

Megan specializes in total technology transformations and integrations, payments, finance optimization, M&A advisory, and market research. She is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP) and brings a strong blend of strategic, technical, and operational expertise to her clients.

Originally from Southern California, Megan is a lifelong surfer who has competed professionally. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time at the beach, staying active, and training in the gym.

William is a Business Development Associate here at BGS. Before joining BGS, William worked for a healthcare compliance company as a business operations manager, where he was responsible for capturing dozens of new clients, including developing a client target list, sales development, and new client onboarding. William looks to enhance the BGS Business Development team by identifying, pursuing, and securing new business opportunities that will contribute to the firm's growth.

William graduated from the University of Colorado Boulder in 2019 with a degree in History & Political Science. William is an outdoor enthusiast who enjoys skiing, sailing, hunting, as well as more conventional sports like golf and tennis.

Jean joined BGS Consulting in 2025 as a Help Desk Technician. He gained experience in providing technical support across hardware, software, and networking environments, assisting users with troubleshooting, system maintenance, and device setup in both office and remote settings.

Having developed a strong foundation in troubleshooting, system maintenance, and user support, Jean brings a proactive and solutions-driven mindset to every task. Whether it is addressing technical issues or assisting with system upgrades, he approaches challenges with patience, efficiency, and a focus on continuous improvement.

Since beginning his IT professional career in 2021, Jean has contributed seamlessly to day-to-day operations by ensuring user satisfaction and minimizing downtime. In every role, he remains eager to deepen technical expertise and expand knowledge in new areas of information technology.

Outside of work, Jean enjoys playing guitar, watching documentaries, exploring new technologies and continuously learning to stay up to date in a fast-evolving field.

Daniel Ramirez joined the Technology Advisory practice in April 2025 as a System Administrator. He previously worked at MorganFranklin Consulting for 10 years, holding various internal IT support roles, as well as providing managed IT services and consulting, including help desk support implementation, system management, monitoring, and migrations.

In his free time, Daniel enjoys watching the local Washington sports teams, photography, and birding.

John Sprouse is a seasoned business executive with extensive experience consulting C-suite clients on technology strategy and implementation. With expertise in cloud solutions, Agile delivery, ERP solutions and project management, he has led major finance technology transformations. As a Managing Director at Deloitte Consulting, he drove large technology projects, spearheaded cloud migrations, and led post-merger integrations. Prior to Deloitte, John held executive roles, including CIO positions, where he developed E-commerce platforms, implemented enterprise-wide ERP systems, and optimized business operations. He holds a BA in Economics from Claremont McKenna College and certifications in AWS Cloud and Project Management.

As a Manager at BGS, Christopher manages workstreams and teams to support clients during critical times of need. He uses technical and managerial experience, business acumen, and understanding to deliver each client thoughtful, tailored solutions encompassing audit support and readiness, accounting operations management, process improvement and documentation, project management, financial and management reporting, systems implementation support, and technical accounting.

Christopher has served clients of different sizes, in various industries, on many systems, including a regional real estate developer and construction manager, regional senior living operator, and global consumer packaged goods company, utilizing software including QuickBooks, Yardi and Payscan, SAP, Oracle, CaseWare, Microsoft Office suite, and more. Before accounting advisory, he worked four years in audit and earned his bachelor’s in accounting from Portland State University. He is a Certified Public Accountant in Virginia.

In his free time, Christopher enjoys running, watching movies, and travelling with an emphasis on exploring the United States.

Scott Wilson is an accomplished professional with 20+ years combined experience across accounting, finance, and consulting, including 10+ years in SEC reporting roles. His industry experience includes healthcare, financial services, solar, and manufacturing. Scott thrives in unique environments, collaborating with diverse audiences by leveraging a deep understanding of people, culture, and individual experiences.

As Senior Consultant for BGS Consulting, Scott served as the acting Director of SOX for Novavax from May 2021 – January 2022, and is currently serving as a senior consultant for business process improvement. He also helped a pre-commercial biotech company through growth and commercialization by advising them on internal controls for their inventory process.

In his free time, Scott enjoys traveling, grilling and spending time with his family.

Charles Tong is a seasoned management consulting leader with more than 18 years of experience helping clients across industries navigate complex business and technology transformations. He advises private equity firms and corporate clients across the full M&A transaction lifecycle, bringing deep expertise in IT strategy, due diligence, integration planning, carve-out analysis, target operating model design, synergy assessment, cost optimization, TSA development, and value creation initiatives.

Charles has successfully led engagements spanning pre-close planning through post-close execution, helping organizations accelerate growth, realize transaction value, and improve operational performance. In addition to his M&A experience, he has extensive expertise in analytics and data strategy, partnering with both commercial and federal clients to accelerate technology adoption, unlock the value of data assets, and drive informed decision-making across the enterprise.

Charles joined BGS to help clients solve complex business challenges by combining strategic insight, operational expertise, and technology-enabled solutions that deliver measurable results and sustainable value.

Outside of work, Charles enjoys traveling, hiking, attending sporting events (Go Ravens!), and exploring different cuisines.

Jenny Vicente was born and raised in Lima, Peru, she moved to the United States in 2002. She earned her bachelor's degree in Accounting from the Universidad Inca Garcilaso de la Vega, with her credentials revalidated by the Virginia Board of Accountancy in 2012.

Jenny brings more than 20 years of accounting experience supporting organizations across the travel, education, transportation, and telecommunications industries. Her expertise includes general ledger accounting, financial reporting, month-end close, account reconciliations, billing, accounts payable and receivable, and financial analysis. Jenny is passionate about delivering accurate financial information and supporting efficient, well-controlled accounting operations.

Outside of work, Jenny enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, practicing yoga, and spending time with her dog.

Frank joined BGS Consulting in November 2023 and currently serves as Managing Partner. Originally from Pittsburgh, PA, Frank graduated from Penn State University, earned his CPA, spent three years in the audit practice of Arthur Andersen and then spent the next two years earning his MBA from Harvard Business School. Frank returned to Andersen, advancing to Partner as he helped build and operate Andersen’s Healthcare Advisory Practice. Following Andersen, Frank helped lead and grow a revenue-cycle and staffing business which was eventually sold to a private-equity backed company. Frank then joined Inova Health System, a $6 billion integrated healthcare system based in Northern Virginia, serving as the CFO of the Physician Enterprise & Ambulatory Portfolio for seven years. Concurrent with this, Frank was elected to the Board of Directors of FNB Corp., a publicly traded $50 billion asset financial services business based in Pittsburgh, PA, where he currently Chairs the Audit Committee and serves on several other board committees. Most recently, Frank served as the CFO of a $200 million New York based private equity backed rollup enterprise.

As part of the BGS leadership team, Frank is focused on building and expanding relationships with key strategic partners, private equity and VC sponsored businesses. Frank will help drive our service offering mix and delivery as well as the overall growth of the company. Frank’s extensive background and strong leadership capabilities bring a unique and valuable perspective to client service, company strategy, and growth initiatives.

Frank spends most of his free time with his wife, three daughters, extended family, and close friends. He enjoys running and golfing.

Brian Mitchell is an Advisory Board Member at BGS. Brian is an icon in the Washington community with a career spanning 14 years of professional football, television and radio broadcasting, motivational speaking, podcasting, and supporting numerous charitable organizations and philanthropies.

As an Advisory Board member, Brian will work with our leadership team to help develop new markets and new client opportunities and strengthen our presence in the DMV market.

Paul joined BGS as a senior advisor in April 2024. A former partner with EY, Paul retired in June 2022 after a 36 year career in the Big 4. Paul began his career in audit, concentrating on large public companies, growth-oriented IPO candidates and venture backed companies in Technology, Communications, Manufacturing and Defense/GovCon. He then spent nearly 20 years in Transaction Advisory, working with large and middle-market private equity firms and corporate buyers and sellers, helping them optimize value from strategic transactions. Paul also served in numerous internal roles with EY, including leading EY’s largest global acquisition, overseeing large strategic change programs across the firm and managing large business units. Prior to his retirement, Paul served as EY Americas Sector Leader for Aerospace and Defense.

As part of the BGS team, Paul is helping advise clients on strategic transactions, growth strategy and transformational change. His extensive experience with growth-oriented companies, private equity firms and all forms of buyers and sellers will help clients achieve optimal value for strategic transactions and initiatives.

Paul lives with his wife in the Northern Virginia area and attempts to advise his own two children, who are busy starting their own careers. He is involved in numerous not-for-profit endeavors, and enjoys golf, fitness and travel.

Tony is a seasoned financial executive and entrepreneur with over 35 years of experience. For much of Tony’s career, he was an audit partner in large international accounting firms where he worked with technology, professional services and life science companies ranging from early-stage venture backed to large multinational private equity backed and public companies. He also led Grant Thornton’s Mid-Atlantic Technology Practice for over 13 years.

Tony has experience building consulting practices that focus on CFO advisory services, technical accounting consulting, IPO’s, SPAC, private placement and M&A transactions, as well as IPO and SOX readiness. He has frequently presented on SaaS industry panels regarding digital and finance transformation as well as technical accounting matters.

In 2018, Tony co-founded RevLock, an automated revenue recognition software application built for the SaaS and Subscription Industries, and sold it to Chargebee in 2021.

In Tony's free time, he enjoys sports, spending time with family, and is a car enthusiast.
